Add a sending domain
You need at least one verified sending domain before any email can leave SushiSend. The flow takes about a minute when your DNS is on Cloudflare and two minutes everywhere else.
1. Open “Add domain”
In the dashboard: Domains → Add domain. Enter the apex domain you want to send from (example.com, not mail.example.com). We generate a matching mail.example.com MAIL FROM subdomain automatically.
2. Publish the DNS records
We’ll show you three DKIM CNAMEs, an MX record for MAIL FROM, and an SPF TXT. Publish them in your DNS provider. If your DNS is on Cloudflare, click Connect Cloudflare in the domain detail page and we publish them for you.
3. Verify
Hit Check status. DKIM verification propagates within a few minutes once the records resolve. The domain flips from pending to verified and you can send.
What if it stays pending?
- DNS hasn’t propagated yet. Wait 5–10 minutes and re-check.
- Records weren’t published under the right names (case/exact match matters for the CNAME selector).
- Your DNS provider is stripping the
"..."around the SPF TXT — remove any inner quotes. - You already verified this domain on another SushiSend account. Delete the old identity or contact support.
